  I went to the midwives at Specialist's in Women's Care for my pregnancy with my son who is now almost 8 months old. They did a good job and took good care of me. He ended up being a high risk pregnancy and so we had to get checked regularly. The Ultrasound technician, Megan, is sweet and amazing and we got along great! The main issues I found with this place is for being midwives, in my opinion, they are not very naturally minded. I was going for a completely natural birth and I often felt judged for my decisions and treated as though I am ignorant, which I am not. (I am all about research and I have a BS degree.) It felt more like going to a doctor, so if that's what you want by all means go to them! They did take good care of us, I am not saying they did a bad job. But if you're more about being very natural, then I recommend finding another experienced midwife. If you go here, I did really like Jamie a lot and actually was hoping she would be the one to deliver our son. She didn't make me feel ridiculed even when she didn't agree with my decision about something; I experienced that with some of the other midwives but not her. I liked all the midwives themselves, I just didn't like how some spoke to me or handled things at times, but, obviously, it wasn't a big enough deal to make me quit going at that time. All in all, I recommend them if you're not wholly naturally minded or if you have a high risk pregnancy and still want to be more natural. On a different note, I recently started having a serious medical issue, and I called the ob gyns to get in for an appointment. It wasn't an emergency that I would need to go to the ER for but still something serious enough that you would think they would say, "Come in right away." But they did not. We still owe a bit of money for the pregnancy, which we have been paying steadily on every month. But, of course we owe! They charge an arm and a leg and we had a $2600 deductible. Anyway, when I tried to make an appointment, they refused to see me unless I paid a LARGE amount towards what we owe! Now, if I wasn't dealing with a serious issue then it wouldn't have bothered me as much, but since this is a serious issue this just said to me, sorry, even though you make a payment every month, money is more important to us than our patients' health! It was pretty frustrating and angering. Just keep that in mind if you want to make an appointment here.
