  We recently went to Ku urgent care. It was in the evening on a weekend about 9:00pm. We were taken in behind other people who had arrived after us and didn't look that Sick. We didn't know their situation so didnt mind too much. Our wait was about 40 minutes. my husband was really sick and needed help. More sick than we expected and found out a couple of days later. We saw a nurse practitioner, at least that's what I think he was. The np didn't do anything but take his temperature and say he needed to follow up with his doctor or someone to take more tests. We thought why are we here. We got home and he got more sick and threw up. He had a temperature and was running hot and cold episodes with a high temperature and confusion. The nurse practitioner was abrupt and became irritated and angry at us when we asked for something to help and for medicine like antibiotics. It seemed he didn't like us being there. I think the np thought my husbands confused behavior was just bad behavior or someone over reacting. It was upsetting to know our insurance was going to be billed for nothing and being told to go elsewhere. A few days later it got a lot worse and we went to a hospital. If we had not it could've been deadly. And the treatment for the disease he was finally diagnosed with was a heavy regiment of antibiotics. I understand it is just urgent care but if they just refer you and don't even examine or ask questions , test blood or urine why do they exists. Other people could've caught what my husband had in the few days between urgent care and us getting to a hospital because we didn't think it was serious. We will probably not go back to this facility. I am sorry to give a low rating but someone could've died from this infectious disease not being found or at least suspected.
